We are always being asked...."Why should I buy a custom built computer system from Micro Medix instead of a cheaper priced "big name brand" from Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-mart, etc...?"
1.) Quality
Quality is a key feature when purchasing any product or service. We at MicroMedix uphold this feature throughout every
system and/or service we offer. By using nothing but the best in hand picked name brand parts and components we give
our customers the assurance that they need when purchasing a system or service from our company. Better parts equal
better quality, better performance, better reliability, and an all around a superior product.
2.) Performance
No one likes a product that performs poorly. This is why we use nothing less than respectable name
brand parts from respectable vendors. The better the parts used in the construction of a computer system, the better
the performance. We do not skimp out on small things to lower our cost. Cheap parts lead to more problems, compatibility
issues, and slower performance of a machine. In addition to the higher quality parts used by us, all of our computers are
fine tuned using nothing less than the most up to date system drivers and configurations. Better performance is much more
than a fast processor and a lot of memory (RAM). Although these two items help the process, your computer is only as good as the
software, drivers, and all of the components within the system. If one component falls behind, it is very likely that
the rest of the components will be held up because of this one device. By researching and testing all of our components
with one another we ensure that our systems are built to perform.
3.) Reliability
From a business stand point time is money. If a computer system in your home or business spends more of its time in for repairs
than being used for production it can cost a company much more money than the computer may be worth. We understand the
headache that comes with an unreliable system. This is why our business helps you by making sure you won't have
all of these problems in the future. We put our computer systems through a 72 hour testing period. In this testing
period the computer is left on for a "burn in" of the components. Several of the individual components are also tested, such as the video card, network interface card, processor, and hard drive. We conduct these tests to ensure that no parts are faulty from the factory and cause future complications.
4.) Upgradeable
Everyone wants a computer that is upgradeable. If the computer you purchase has all integrated parts such as most leading vendors are selling, its ability to be upgraded is diminished greatly. A system that is upgradeable is a great asset and a money saver for the future. All of the parts used in the construction of our systems are interchangeable with nearly everything. Interchangeability is a key feature in the upgrading process. This opens many other options when upgrade time rolls around. For example, you want to uprade the video card in your system, and your friend has one for sale cheap. If it is compatible with your system, you can get it from your friend and replace the current one you are using. If you are using a totally integrated machine, the chances of you upgrading the system easily and cost effectively are slim to none. This is why we try to keep the use of integrated components to a minimum in our systems.
If you would like to discuss this in further detail or would like to have Micro Medix build your next custom computer system please feel free to email, call or just stop in and see us!
